HISTORY
David Norton has been a Dublin-based commercial photographer & retoucher since 1997. Over the past 25 years in the industry, David has had the opportunity & pleasure to work with a huge array of clients. From top-of-the-line Whiskey & Jewellery companies to both established and ‘new to the scene’, musicians and bands. It’s through these collaborations that David Norton has not only honed his skills but has learned how to best work with clients. This expertise ensures that both the shooting process and final images meet or go beyond, all their expectations.
DAVID NORTON COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Product photography can be both extremely difficult & hugely rewarding at the same time. David Norton reveals that his favourite part of any photography shoot is seeing an idea or concept start as a thought, go through the creative process, and end up as a visual image for anyone to enjoy. David finds, like with most things in life, the more daunting & difficult the project is the higher the end satisfaction is … who doesn’t love a challenge!
DAVID NORTON’S ART
Most of the time when David Norton is not working on a commercial shoot you still find him behind a camera. This time however it is combining the skills he has learned in the photographic business with his love of the outdoors. David loves nothing more than creating art from elements or objects that he finds when he is out hiking or spending time with his family in nature. David is constantly on the lookout for the next piece of wood or stone that he can work with to unveil its hidden beauty.
EXHIBITION
Recently, David Norton had the honour of being asked to contribute to the ‘9/11 20th Anniversary Art Exhibition’. This exhibition, which is currently touring the United States, features renowned artists from around the world including Sean Scully, James Surls & Hughie O’Donoghue. Some famous figures, who share a love of Art, also feature, like ‘The Edge’ from the music band U2.
